This is History (1105)

Neither a wise man nor a brave man lies down on the tracks of history to wait for the train of the future to run over him.

Hidden face of BJP in Maharashtra

Her name is Saroj Pande, an MP from Chhattisgarh .She is currently extensively touring across the Maharashtra to see the big win of the BJP. Reason- the BJP leadership has appointed her as incharge of the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha election slated later this year.

Faction ridden BJP in Rajasthan ?

In Rajasthan Congress is having only two camps Ashok Gehlot’s and Sachin Pilot’S but see the BJP where there are several camps - Vasundhara Scindia camp, Om Birla camp, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat camp, Om Mathur camp, Sunil Bansal camp and the most significant  RSS camp. Incidentally, all camps are anti-Vasundhra .

Kickstarting Economy

Friend who is a Banker drops in for Coffee and chit-chat...

Friend: If you ask me Pakistan must be saying....Congress is our biggest Ally...
Me: And with Congress the Media that's in it's control...and the Tukde Tukde Gang.... Award Wapsi Gang... Liberals...
F: Congress lamented the Curfews in J&K conveniently forgetting..... when it created a split between Farroukh and his Sister  and  foisted  GM Shah as the CM... there was Curfew  for 2 months continuously in the Valley... and this was for their politics...now its for the unfication of  the Country!!
M: Landlines are now operational...but I feel Government  should  not get pressurised and restore Mobile and Data connectivity so fast....SOP is keep measures for 3 months.... giving periodical breaks to test situation..

F: By the way India took down Pakistan 14-1 at the UNSC.... and you have their UN Head claiming victory....
M: Just like Pakistan... why it claimed victory even after the Bangladesh War...and by the way Pakistan that's  cribbing about Section 144  just imposed it in North Waziristan..
F: Imran Khan is sounding like a blend of RaGa .... Kejri with a dash of Mamtha.... before the 2019 Election result..
M: And he's all of a sudden developed a love for Nehru.... misses Nehru's India...calls India now as Doval's India.... Doval really gives them nightmares.....and Rajnath has finally 'said the unsaid'.... We can rethink our Nuclear No First Use Policy.... in face of imminent attack every Nation would rethink such a pledge...
F: Pakistan going to rename 44 Villages... Roads.... Kashmir...
M: Sure... why not...Imran Kashmir Khan....buss this is what they have to show after 70 years of trying to annexe Kashmir..
F: Nirmala ji trying to kickstart economy and also achieve 5 Trillion goal... actually now both are intertwined...
M: She needs to differentiate between Fiscal Stimulus and Growth Stimulus....Fiscal Stimulus is Keynesian where Government spends on roads and it has a multiplier effect......like the 100 lac crore investment in Infra...... Growth Stimulus....like Government did in 1991.... change the rules of the game...
F: And don't rock boat and that too for pittance gains... like what Budget did to FPIs. Then CSR....which causes a scare... just say ... you don't do it .... there's a hefty fine....
M: And remember... Savings have been a Saviour.... decide do you want a Nation of Spendthrifts.... Savers or Punters....see History and you'll realize ... spendthrifts and punters cause bubbles ......though short term gains

......that always burst and cause Economic  pain... Savings have always saved Countries ... Economically..and benefits Economy in long term.....

F: And not the least... but remember... no Nation has taxed itself into Prosperity...

Somberly we shake our heads in agreement and I see my friend off at the door..

Whispers’ Debate

Is India inching towards Presidential form of Government ?

Is India inching towards Presidential form of Government ?  Whispersinthecorridors had this indication from top bureaucratic circles that there is an apprehension of Presidential form of Government in the country and asked its surfers that will it be viable ?

And the majority of surfers replied in the negative saying that it will be a wild goose chase. They either said that it will not be possible in India under the present constitution or were of the view that it would not be feasible in this country. A handful of surfers, however, opined that let there be a change . “There is stagnation. One should get a change in the form of Presidential system of Government. this system should be implemented in India and Narendra Modi should be the President for country’s prosperity”.

DEBATE

RETIREMENT AGE

There are rumours that the Government of India is all set to increase the age of retirement from the present 60 years to 62 years. While many say that it is a good idea, others are of the view that it will not be good for the jobless youth ? What do you think ? Is raising the retirement age a good idea ?
