Normally no extension is given to any PS after expiry of term. In the case of PS to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh 2004 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre Kundan Kumar rule has been relaxed by the PMO. Kundan Kumar’s tenure ended on February 3, 2020 but now he has been given two years extension. It means importance of Rajnath Singh has increased.
