From the point of world history ,this little country of the far west of Europe  has no great importance  at present.

This time World War means  nuclear war ?

In the event of a war between India and Pakistan or India and China or even India versus Pak-China combine, there is always a fear of nuclear weapons being brought in use. Another fear is that any such face-off may lead to another World War.

Modi’s regime bereft of corruption

 It is now widely believed that Modi’s regime is bereft of corruption. If any compromises are being made, they are for the party or for the RSS.

Is Amit Shah touring the right States?

Amit Shah, BJP Chairperson has been on a victory drive for States going to polls in the near future. He toured some states in last few months, is visiting MP in August and will be visiting  other states next. People are asking what  is the sense in Amit Shah winning State  by State and  then handing it over to incompetent people who undo all the hard work done by Modi and Shah ? Recent examples are Haryana and UP where the BJP government and party both have failed miserably and this has impacted the image of the BJP and the Centre   both, in the whole country,  that they can win elections but can not deliver good governance. People say it would be much better if Amit Shah starts touring and taking to task these BJP governments on their failures and punish failing politicians there, so that people can get convinced that BJP's  central leadership means business and good governance and will not shield incompetent BJP leadership in States come- what-may. This would itself make them win elections in other States if they can prove that they are able to give good governance in those states where people expressed confidence in them.

I meet my old Friend from UP who is into organic  Farming...big time.  He's in Delhi for a shaadhi and we meet for Chai and Rusks (coated liberally with Butter and Jam) at a Tea Joint.

Friend: Really ... Media has the power to blow issues up .. gloss over the past ...muddle and befuddle... the Gorakhpur deaths are no doubt very tragic....one's heart literally aches...and of course the feeling of anger and then emptiness. .but before blaming Yogi look at the past  the genesis of this tragedy .

Me: Yes ....the fully masked Gulam Nabhi Azad was the Health Minister from 2008 - 14 ...averaging 500+ deaths took place every year during his stint...did he go there once ...any bytes from him then... any bytes from Madam Humaneness or her son... who were and are UP MPs... no..

F: I think a fact finding Team is already in Gorakhpur... they need to depute specialists from AIMMS and PGI... to find out the causes..suggest preventive and curative measures...based on the Report Government should fix responsibility and stringent action should be taken...

M: Why not get WHO involved ...their studies and expertise is the best today in this disease...of course Government to WHO basis

...no NGOs or other intermediaries allowed...

F: These deaths have been going on for years and caught Media's attention in 2005 when 1500 deaths took place  ...who was in power then..... UPA... was there such a hue and cry ...despite the magnitude ...NO!!

M: Rahul is always on Tragedy Tourism... he didn't fly down to Gorakhpur.. . how come!!!

F: Maybe his Mom thought ...abhi toh yeh bachcha hai and  JE  could affect him too... so she deputed Azam ....he went there looking like an Alien .. masked and robed!!

M: Looking like a Surgeon.... one has to  admit he does some deft surgery....that is politically... as and when Sonia refers an issue to him...

F: Now Lootens Presstitutes trying to make a Muslim Doctor as the saviour of Gorakhpur...whereas if you look at his past even a dimwit would not give him such credit! It's said that seeing the tragedy unfold he actually ran way ..and cherry on cake is he's a SP appointee.. .. .and we are well aware of the criteria for appointments by SP...

M: I'm reminded of a song..  I'll modify it a little bit... jabh bhi chaahe Jhoot bollthe  hai logh... chehre pe insaaniyat Waala makauta lagaa lethe hai logh..

Will Modi’s dream of eliminating corruption come true ?

Terming corruption as one of the greatest challenge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for special initiatives to end the menace in the next five years with the pledge of  'Karenge Aur Kar Ke Rahenge' (We will do and surely do). He said the menace of corruption has adversely impacted the development journey of the country and has eaten the polity from the inside but will he be able to accomplish the task ? Can corruption be eliminated in India ?
