Whispersinthecorridors has asked its editorial staff to work from home as an effective step towards Coronavirus prevention. All its editors and desk staff are working from home. Whispersinthecorridors is the only media in  the country which is keeping its surfers informed about the latest developments in bureaucracy and corporate world while others are engrossed with the news flooded on Corona virus alone. It is our endeavour to keep every one informed about the happenings related to governance and we are fulfilling it in the most difficult of times.

During the video conference, many Chief Secretaries reportedly expressed displeasure to the present system of red, orange and green zone markings and said that the way the number of cases are rising with the return of migrants, most of the districts will come under red zone. It would be difficult to lift the lockdown and relaxation could be withdrawn. Many states suggested that instead of colour code system , areas with quarantine be notified as red zone. Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba held a video conference with the Chief Secretaries and Health Secretaries of states on Sunday.

What will be fate of Lockdown?

Will lockdown end or will it be extended for at least a fortnight ? According to available indication, now many state govts want that lockdown should be extended till May 31 but some states are in favour of lifting it on May 17. Sources said that the Centre wants more relaxation with some riders so that the economic activities could be stepped up. Centre is likely to give this responsibility to CMs . They can decide about the lockdown for their respective states.
