Whispersinthecorridors asks editorial staff to work from home
Whispersinthecorridors has asked its editorial staff to work from home as an effective step towards Coronavirus prevention. All its editors and desk staff are working from home. Whispersinthecorridors is the only media in the country which is keeping its surfers informed about the latest developments in bureaucracy and corporate world while others are engrossed with the news flooded on Corona virus alone. It is our endeavour to keep every one informed about the happenings related to governance and we are fulfilling it in the most difficult of times.

Why states unwilling to take back migrants?
If Maharashtra govt is to be believed, some states like -Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Gujarat and Karnataka - are not ready to take back migrant workers of their states. According to Babasaheb Thorat, Revenue Minister, these states had laid down strict conditions to take back their migrants but they are not practical. Nearly 10 lakh migrants in Maharashtra wish to return to their home states.
Will a bigwig of Tata Sons join PMO ?

Only Mamata Banerjee raised state autonomy issue

Maharashtra: who is bearing travel cost of migrants ?
Controversy has deepened further as to who is bearing the travel costs of migrant labour in Maharashtra. The Maharashtra Congress has claimed that the party had borne the travel expenses of nearly 27,865 migrant workers and sent them back to their native places. The state party president Balasaheb Thorat claimed on Tuesday. Arrangements are being made to send 24,000 more migrant workers from Maharashtra to their native states. Thorat is also the Revenue Minister in the state govt. Thorat said state Energy Minister Nitin Raut paid for four special trains, while Minister of State for Agriculture Vishwajeet Kadam and Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Sunil Kedar paid for two trains to send migrant workers back to their states. Now the question is why state Govt has not paid the amount ? Railways has said that the state Govt are bearing 15% of travel cost and purchasing tickets against that amount.
