NDA to have 100 own MPs in RS to support

The NDA will now have the support of about 100 of its own MPs in the Rajya Sabha. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has improved its tally after bagging 11 of the 24 seats in the biennial elections in 10 States.

Higher NDA numbers in RS to help clear crucial bills easily

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) which bagged 11 of the 24 Rajya Sabha seats will be in a much better position to manoeuvre itself to clear crucial bills. The NDA is within striking distance of the majority mark in the 245 member Upper House of Parliament.

Digvijay in RS set to confront Jyotiraditya across the fence !

The BJP is set to gain in the Upper House but the interesting fact about Rajya Sabha election is that former Congress colleagues Jyotiraditya Scindia and Digvijay Singh will sit across the fence in the House .The debates would be interesting as Digvijay will now confront his former party colleague vigorously. 

First Indian Minister to go abroad after three months

Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister, will pay a visit to Moscow to attend the Victory Parade on June 24 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Second World War. The Parade is organised to honour the heroism and sacrifices made by the Russian and other friendly people. The Victory Parade, which was originally scheduled on the 9th of May but was postponed due to the COVID pandemic. A Tri-Service 75- Member Indian Military Contingent is taking part in the Victory Day Parade. Singh is the forest union minister who is going abroad during lockdown in the past three months.
