Will Assembly elections be postponed in Bihar?

In Bihar, political wind is flowing to shift the proposed assembly elections for the time being. Reason is being given the rising cases of COVID pandemic. More than one dozen districts are under lockdown for a week .If the situation does not improve, lockdown may go longer. In the meantime two political leaders - Tejashvi Yadav of RJD and Chirag Paswan of LJP- also favoures the postponement of elections till the situation improves. LJP is an NDA alliance at the centre. According to sources these parties want , elections be postponed at least for six months. If it happens than the assembly election will held in the summer of 2021 with the West Bengal assembly elections. One has to wait for the Election Commission's final decision.

Who will be Member of the BJP Parliamentary Board ?

Who will fill the vacancy of late Sushma Swaraj in the BJP Parliamentary Board ? One vacancy of woman nominee is to be filled up. Names of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman , Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani and  BJP Central functionary Saroj Pande are in circulation.

Who will be BJP CM in Rajasthan?

1In Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot led Congress govt is now unlikely to continue. Now in the political corridors, hunt for BJP CM is on. Sources said that Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore could be the BJP CM in Rajasthan because Sachin Pilot can also swim with him but not with Vasundhra Raje. One source said Gajendra Singh Shekhawat is also a likely face for CM, Rajasthan. 

What type of politics is going on in Rajasthan ?

In Rajasthan, the political scenario seems to be very fluid. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot claims that his govt is stable, will complete full term and there is no threat. On the other hand, some party MLAs allege that the BJP is luring Congress MLA and trying to topple the state govt. Observers said that it seems the Congress in the state is badly divided and one group has no confidence in the other.

Who will resign to save Congress govt ?

As per available indications, Ashok Gehlot is likely to resign to save the Congress govt in Rajasthan. Sources said that if Gehlot manages to save than Sachin Pilot may resign. And after that he can leave the party with his supporters.
