Former IAS officer joins Congress

S Sashikanth Sentthil, a former 2009 batch IAS officer, has joined Congress in Tamil Nadu. He is a former Karnataka cadre IAS officer and resigned from the service last year in September.

Will JDU’s position be worse than Congress ?

While Dr. S Jaishankar and Hardip Singh Puri – both Rajya Sabha MPs - are retired IFS officers, R K Singh and Arjun Meghwal – both retired IAS officers are Lok Sabha MPs. Now the question that arises is  - who among them – former IFS officers or ex- IAS officers are more result oriented ?

Ministry of Personnel came into being in 1970 
 
Ministry of Personnel has been the brainchild of Late Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the then PM, who created the Ministry in question in 1970. Prior to that, there was nothing like Ministry of Personnel and the activities now being looked after by this Ministry used to be disposed off by Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
