Cong again turns into single largest loser

While the political parties struggle to improve their performance in every next election, the motto of the Congress seems to be just the opposite. In Bihar and most of the recently held Assembly bypolls in other states too, it has continued to keep its recent record of being the largest loser intact.

Alliance with Cong proved costly for Mahagathbandhan

Alliance with Congress proved costly for Mahagathbandhan in Bihar. The Congress party was defeated in 51 out of the 70 seats it contested in Bihar, proving to be a drag on fighting allies RJD and Left. Given RJD’s fighting spirit, followed by a notable Left performance, a little better show by the Congress would have given the Mahagathbandhan an easy win against NDA.

Why do many leaders praise Tejashwi Yadav ?

Leaders of various political parties, including BJP, are praising RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's performance in the recently concluded Bihar assembly polls. NCP, Shiv Sena, Mehbooba mufti of TDP, Mamta Banerjee of TMC and Uma Bharti of BJP congratulated Tejashwi for his performance. Some say that he is a future leader. Now the question is why are they praising Tejashwi ? Is there any hidden agenda ?

Ministry of Personnel came into being in 1970

Ministry of Personnel has been the brainchild of Late Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the then PM, who created the Ministry in question in 1970. Prior to that, there was nothing like Ministry of Personnel and the activities now being looked after by this Ministry used to be disposed off by Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
