In Maharashtra political circles, people have started saying that CM Uddhav Thakre and Sharad Pawar are two in one. Secret of the success of the novice Administrator Uddhav Thakre people say, goes to Sharad Pawar.

When will the EC announce the polling date ?

All eyes are on the ECI for the announcement of poll schedule for the five assembly schedule due in April- May this year. Meanwhile The PM is visiting Tamil Nadu and Kerala to take part in some programmes. Sources says that if one was to go by the indications, the announcement is likely after February 15, 2021. EC has already visited poll bound states.

DEBATE : “BABU WORD”

The term ‘babu’ that reeks of the colonial era has been stuck with civil servants and other government officials ever since.

On February 10, PM Narendra Modi has in his Parliament speech, blasted the ‘babu’ culture in the country saying “Sab kuch babu hi karenge”. Earlier in 2016, the IAS Association has condemned the use of the word ‘babu’ and called it ‘abusive’.

Now the question that arises is - Is the use of the word ‘babu’ correct ?
