If the ambition of Narendra Modi, it is now a disclosed fact, is to become a world leader, Baba Ramdev’s inclination is to become a king maker. Even as, the former has already achieved the status of being the most followed world leader on social media including facebook, Twitter and You-tube, Baba has come a long way from nurturing a cult following based on televised yoga programmes to becoming ‘someone’ who can influence votes in any election.

A veteran of ninety years of age recently commented that ‘Today’s world is full of thieves and beggars’. Is it a fact ?  Yes, if one was to go by the commitment of old timers and greed of present time people.

My respected friend, a retire Senior Bureaucrat, is in Delhi and we meet at an iconic Coffee House in CP and over Cona Coffees and Patties we get chatting.

Me: There seems to be discontent against this Government building up..

Respected Friend: Partly aap- beeti  issues but mostly because of the continuous propaganda of anti Modi forces...RaGa said 1000 on SM to malign him.... to try to malign Modi Congress etc must be having at least 10,000..

M: Yes this is the time that Food inflation does perk ...and GST has caused some increase in prices ...like Construction...Medicines .... Service Tax up....fuel spurt adding to woes..

RF: The present dynamic pricing mechanism is very good ...though Government should take a call on the Excise Duty that was hiked when Oil prices fell drastically...

M: Government has parameters like reduction in fuel usage ... and the reduction in eco damage in mind...but today with sudden spurt in prices ........the Middle Class is looking for relief..

RF: Yes... especially after the pain they've gone through because of Demo and GST..they are looking for the gain... personal gain..

M: Of course Jaitley and his protège Pradhan will shoot down any talk of Excise reduction.. ..my Wife says Modi should call Jaitley and tell him ...2019 ....no Minister from RS... my Cabinet will be from LS only

.....directly elected reps of the People...will soften Jaitley' s 'hard nose'..

RF: Ha ..ha....actually Jaitley is a damn good Lawyer and can argue for both Excise Status Quo and Excise reduction equally well...there has to be more to his obstinacy on this issue...

M: I think now Modi too needs to go into Implemtation ..Implemtation..Implementation... all new ideas shelved... Modi's plans and policies are really visionary ...what India needs ..but without Implemtation 0...

RF: Yes ... targets ...strict monitoring .. no new distractions of new policies..Farmers still haven't  heard of Soil Health and More Crop per Drop.....

M: Yup.. I asked a few Punjab Farmers at a Dhaba recently and they looked fummoxed.. .one said ...ah kee hondaa hai (meaning never heard of these).

RF: Now the rest of his present stint Modi should concentrate only on implementation ...its like ...Big B can keep shouting Darwaaja Bandh Karro.. . but till toilets with doors are not made and people educated ...what use is Darwaaja Bandh Karro.. .there has to be a Door to shut... just an example to show how vital implementation is..though Government is working on the Toilets issue ardously ...

M: But Sir ek Darwaaja we too have to close ...right in the faces of Congress etc... never allow them to do what they've done to the Nation again... even if Modi falls short on implementation he's still a thousand times better than this devious lot...at least Modi is honest and we'll intentioned ....

RF: Yes .... but for this we too have to rise above our selfish outlook... there is short term pain when momentous decisions are taken... the decisions don't lead to immediate results... even a bad Chaiwalla takes time to make a horrid cup of tea.. and here we know the best possible Tea is being prepared by a very able Chaiwalla... give him time..regards to your Mrs....
