Will Adani be number one in India?

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani topped the Forbes list of India’s 10 richest billionaires with a net worth of $84.5 billion, followed by Adani Group chief Gautam Adani. In the corridors of Mumbai and Delhi, people do not rule out the possibility of Adani’s topping the list next year. Notwithstanding the massive global economic impact unleashed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has managed to add 16.2 billion dollars to his wealth in 2021 thus emerging as the biggest wealth-gainer in the world, according to the latest Bloomberg Billionaires Index. His surge in wealth has taken his total net worth to 50 billion dollars making him the 26th richest person in the world.
