Politics over ‘Oxyzen crisis’ in Delhi intensifies

Even as the country continues to battle an unprecedented rise in Covid-19 cases, a tug-of-war between the BJP and the AAP lead Delhi government over shortage of oxygen also refuses to die. Now Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has taken a swipe at Kejriwal saying, “ Assam has installed 8 Oxygen plants (5.25 MT /day) after Covid crisis hit us; 5 in process. PM Sri @narendramodi gave Delhi funds for 8 plants through #PMCARES in Dec 2020. Why blame Modi, when your govt has failed and could instal just one out of 8 !”. Will the blame game intensify further ?

Is CPI(M)  no more secular ?

Has the CPI(M) repudiated its long-standing ‘conviction’ in secularism by roping in the Indian Secular Front (ISF) in the self christened ‘third front’, in West Bengal, that too at the cost of displeasing Left Front constituents like the Forward Bloc. ISF, considered a communal force, was formed in West Bengal by Abbas Siddique, an influential cleric of the shrine of Furfura Sharif in Hooghly district in January 2021 and wields considerable clout among Muslims in the south Bengal districts and parts of the north.
