What was CWC’s real agenda ?
Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting was held on Monday purportedly to discuss reasons behind party’s dismal performance in the recently held state elections. What came out instead was postponement of party president’s election indefinitely and criticism of Modi government on handling Covid situation. So far poll performance was concerned, the party simply decided to set up yet another committee to look into its rout as has been the case after 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha polls with little being known of its findings or recommendations.
Another ‘marg darshak’ in BJP kitty !
Assam CM Himanta Himanta Sarma after being elected unanimously as the legislative leader of the party, Sunday morning, heaped praises on his predecessor and said that former CM Sarbanda Sonowal will continue to be his ‘marg darshak’. What does that means ? The concept of symbolizing experienced party leaders as ‘marg darshak’ was innovated by the BJP way back in 2014 with the intention to elevate the position of seniors in the party respectfully.

Is it justified to allow gatherings at political rallies and religious functions amidst Covid surge ?
Even as Covid cases continue to surge across the country, how far it is justified for the ‘powers that be’ to ignore implementation of Corona norms (restrictions) at political rallies in the poll bound states and religious functions ? Does the deadly virus becomes ineffective at such gatherings ?
