Political strategist Prashant Kishor to re-enter Bihar politics

Political strategist Prashant Kishor who had recently announced that he will not continue with his present work (of an analyst) for long, it is learnt, has plans to re-enter Bihar politics. With Nitisih Kumar gradually becoming a sinking ship and Tejasvi – a novice in ‘real politicking’, Prashant -  shrugging off his initial failure at elections – now finds enough political space in Bihar. He was previously, JDU's Vice-president after successfully getting CM Nitish Kumar re-elected in 2015.

Sarma breaks Shivraj’s monopoly

Till now only Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan was popularly known as ‘Mama’, now another BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma, locally known as ‘Mama’, has been coronated as Chief Minister of Assam. The story behind Sarma earning this sobriquet is quite interesting. During campaigning for Assembly polls, male college students thronged Sarma (who was then health minister) and asked him, “Mama, when will you give us Bullet motorcycles (like the girls who got first division in higher secondary exams were given scooties).” And he said, “We will do something”. Soon Sarma latched on to ‘mama’,  a music video that came out in his praise became a big hit and Sarma became everybody’s ‘Mama’.
