Will AIDMK and JD(U)  join Modi Cabinet ?

There are chances of AIDMK and JD(U) joining the Modi cabinet expected to be reshuffled next month.  One can only wait and watch.

SP upbeat in UP but will it be able to beat BJP ?

The recently-held Panchayat election results might have elated the Samajwadi Party (SP) but defeating the BJP in UP would still be a Herculean  task for it. Of the polling held for 3,500 district panchayat seats. SP supported 1500 candidates and won 800 seats including in the BJP’s strongholds like Varanasi, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur and Lucknow. Its best vote share in UP was 29 per cent in 2012 when it won 224 seats. This dropped to 21.17 per cent in 2017. It will have to secure 10 to 15 per cent more votes – an uphill task - to defeat the BJP in 2022 ?
