After becoming Vice President of the  UP Unit of BJP, Sharma wrote a letter to UP BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh saying, “In the 2022 UP polls to be held under your and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s stewardship, the BJP would win even more seats than before. A perfect politics - kill with kindness ?
