Local bodies elections in UP, a test for BJP

In UP, local bodies elections are due in November and major political parties are preparing to give tough fight to each other. According to sources, it will be an acid test for Yogi led BJP government. All eyes are on state leadership whether BJP will repeat its performance?

Strained relations in Delhi government ?

All is not well in Delhi govt. Relations between CM and LG are not said to be cordial and LG has checked some projects /schemes of Delhi govt. Now AAP leaders have started criticizing the LG openly.

Economy on form footing

I'm in Shimla and its getting chilly.  I meet my respected friend , a retired Senior Bureaucrat,  at a Cafe and over Soups and Rolls we get chatting.

Respected Friend:  Have you noticed Congress takes up an issue every second - third day to bang this Government....and Presstitutes start expounding on what Congress says..

Me: Sometimes I get the feeling every evening they all meet at Congress's Dirty Tricks Department and they plan the line of insult/abuse/ lies....

RF: Now take the Economy... how can we forget what UPA did to the Economy ....Growth plumetted.. . Deficit rose...all the core factors just went into a tizzy. And we had an Economist PM...and the very same Congress now banging this Government on one Quarter's blip..and ask any Economist and he will tell you increased Capex and low inflation are signs of a healthy economy..like now!

M: Yes Sir ...now despite the blip... core Economy doing pretty good....

RF: Arre just see the two wheeler and 4 wheeler sales...a clear marker that people have money in their pockets... because you buy these only after you've catered for your expenses... savings etc!

M: Yup...you don't expect a guy whose not being able to pay the Bills ...Mortgages ...Installments ...to go and buy a 2 or 4 Wheeler!!

RF: Numbers of people depositing money in Provident Fund

March 2014 : 3.26 cr ........today : 4.8 cr.......thus 1.5 cr jobs created in just Formal sector

...........Badh se badnaam boora...now the new rumour is GST has unleashed Inspector Raj...at present impetus is to get more to file GST returns than investigate...........actually all those Businessmen who Deposited Notes post Demo and their deposits looked suspicious ....they have been asked to produce info by IT... Balance Sheets... Stocks... etc. Now they are spreading rumours that it's because of GST this is being done..

M: Actually those affected by Demo blame GST ...those affected by GST blame Demo... those affected by both blame Jaitley... he's the fav punching bag nowadays...

RF: I think BJP should ignore Yashwant or expel him...I think former is better ...because soon Congress will jump to a new issue and he will be left high and dry ...all dressed up in his Fab India Wardrobe with nowhere to go!

M: One more Sinha yapping...ek Shotgun ek Gupgun...

RF: Congress in fact should avoid talking on a host of issues... corruption....economy .... jobs....policies... secularism ....their secularism is shameless appeasement !! Does not behove  them ...they should see their past!

M: And RaGa says he can fix economy in 6 months .  Arre he and his family have not been able to fix the Family Boroughs for decades!

RF: Everytime they are elected its because the voter feels... chalo this time they say they will change our area... fact is they lie pretty convincingly...this I must concede !!

M: They can say what they want but Modi's war on corruption will not end ..

RF: With printing of 100..200... 500 I would not be surprised if 2000 notes are discontinued... Banks could be instructed not to re-circulate deposited 2000 Notes...just one more squeeze! Like Tacitus has said...In a Country where corruption abounds, laws must be very numerous
