Political hue and cry started against BSF's enhanced power

Punjab and West Bengal Governments have strongly objected to the last order of MHA, according to which, BSF's search and arrest powers have been enhanced. Now the question is why only two states are up in arms against the said order. BSF looks after the border of Pakistan and Bangladesh. And these two states are neighbours of Pakistan and Bangladesh respectively.

12 MPs removed because of zero attendance

In the reconstituted parliamentary standing committees, many members have been shifted to new departments. According to sources, 12 members had zero attendance for the panel 2020-21. Overall 28 had poor attendance in the meetings of committees. Experts say, perhaps, for the first time poor attendance of MPs has surfaced.
