EAC discusses10 issues in its first meeting

Economic Advisory Council to the PM in its first meeting on Wednesday discussed 10 issues related to Economic Growth, Employment and Job Creation, Fiscal Framework, Monetary Policy, Agriculture, Social Sectors and others.  According to sources the council will work on implemental recommendations.

Terming corruption as one of the greatest challenge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has few months ago called for special initiatives to end the menace in the next five years with the pledge of  'Karenge Aur Kar Ke Rahenge' (We will do and surely do).

But majority of the surfers who expressed their view said that it was foolish to believe that any one person can eliminate corruption, let alone Modi. While some said that the fight against corruption was not an individual driven fight but more of a systems driven fight which needs improvement in execution and establishment of accountability, others said that Modi has atleast called for eradication of corruption.

“If Modi really wants to eliminate corruption, he has to begin charity at home. He should set an example by taking action against his party and party men in various States facing corruption charges. Different yardsticks for different persons will not yield positive results in the effort of elimination of corruption”.
