Is Gadkari last hope for Clean Ganga?

Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Water Resources and Ganga Rejuvenation, is doing hard work for Nirmal Ganga. At a function in Delhi, he assured that Ganga will be Nirmal by March 2019. But on this occasion a senior officer quipped that Gadkariji is the last hope for Clean Ganga because many are sceptical whether Ganga will be Nirmal. PM has given this portfolio to him in July this year.

PMs and HMs were Pers Ministers

Ministry of Personnel , Public Grievances and Pension, the powerful ministry for Babudom was kept by  Home Ministers, Dy PM and PMs. PMs held the charge of  this ministry 13 times while HMs held 6 times. One time Dy PM was also given this ministry, which came into existence in 1970.

Vajpayee has one more record

Atal Bihari Vajpayee has one interesting record as PM. He was Pers Minister only for 17 days from May 16, 1996 to June 1,1996. Morarji Desai and Chandrashekhar were Pers Minister for 7 months.

Out of Box thinking..

Me: Now The Wire is making an issue about Jay's Lawyer not appearing in Court...are they trying to hint that Jay is scared of pursuing this case...

Friend: Actually the Learned Judge must have given a Date...now Jay's Lawyer's schedule must have been tight and he must have tried to get another date for some other case that clashed with this case ...but that Learned Judge must have declined...it happens all the time.

M: The News Report said he had to appear in High Court and this case is in Metropolitan Court....

F: Yes.... Lawyers do give appearance in HC precedence.... just because it's the case of Amit Shah's son it doesn't get precedence ...

M: And the anti Shah lot adding mirch masala to the story....

F: And 100 crores is nothing compared to other cases.  Why one Journo was habituated to filing cases for 200 cr.... for all you know if they win the 100 cr will be donated for education of the Girlchild ...

F: I hear RaGa entered a Ladies Loo in Gujarat..

M: Shows the Lad is under extreme pressure... in my memory I've never done so... have you...

F: Never.... I think he should go on one of his overseas rejuvenation trips... otherwise he could have a nervous breakdown..... in Gujarat another RaGa bloomer... he said in 2030 Modi will bring the Moon to Earth..

M: In a tacit was he's accepting that Modi is here to stay..

F: You know I have a strong feeling some in his Think Tank don't like him and so in fact feed him these gaffes... because everything is spoonfed to him...

M: Now Raj Babbar saying ......if RaGa becomes PM he will review GST.....in Rahul's case GST  means .......Game Studio Tycoon...Google it! It's a game!!!!

M: A Congi was telling me ...Congress internal assessment for Gujarat  is ...its going to do pathetically .... BJP will get 135!

F: Though by Congress .. Gujarat is being billed as Congress's turnaround State...

M: Himachal too will go to BJP .... Karnataka ...BJP needs to sort out its Leadership issue...you cannot sell your Government as a honest one with someone perceived to be dishonest at the helm... just wondering.... stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana causes smog in both States and in Delhi too....needs to be tackled.... crackers made the 'fall guy'!!

F: Yes I hear its bad ...was in Delhi last year and the car driver told me the smog was because of stubble burning..

M: But it's not a recent phenomena.....stubble burning going on post Green Revolution ... and then the land dedicated to Agriculture was much more ..

F: I think it needs a unified effort.. . The Courts to enforce ...The Government to formulate ...The Farmer the offender to give his position and also contemplate ...

M: Why not a joint exercise by all 3 ... after all 3 heads are better than 1.... The Enforcer... The Formulator and The Offender .....and the heads come together not in Delhi.........but where the problem originates ........needs out of box thinking....and out of air conditioned environs presence ....

Modi alone can’t eliminate corruption  !

No individual, Narendra Modi or anyone can eliminate corruption single handedly.  At the most, Modi can only bring in tough laws and influence people to abide by them by his personal charm, feel surfers of whispersinthecorridors.com who were asked to express their views on – “Will  Modi’s dream of eliminating corruption come true ? “

Terming corruption as one of the greatest challenge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has few months ago called for special initiatives to end the menace in the next five years with the pledge of  'Karenge Aur Kar Ke Rahenge' (We will do and surely do).

But majority of the surfers who expressed their view said that it was foolish to believe that any one person can eliminate corruption, let alone Modi. While some said that the fight against corruption was not an individual driven fight but more of a systems driven fight which needs improvement in execution and establishment of accountability, others said that Modi has atleast called for eradication of corruption.

“If Modi really wants to eliminate corruption, he has to begin charity at home. He should set an example by taking action against his party and party men in various States facing corruption charges. Different yardsticks for different persons will not yield positive results in the effort of elimination of corruption”.
