Voters looking for ‘reality check’ not more promises

There is a fatigue developing among the voters it seems even before polls battles have begun in the country!! The old formula of trading charges against each other in public rallies is actually a ‘put off’. In fact-- promises being made are also a ‘put off’.  The voters seem to want a ‘reality check’ which means hearing ‘credible’ stories of development not immersed in numbers. It is very clear that the upcoming polls would have candidates ridiculed if they promise the moon as it is already happening in the social media right now.

Ignoring traders would be a blunder in polls

Post demonetization and GST roll out, India’s trading community isn’t giving any clear signals as yet for the BJP  as far as their sentiment is concerned. Whatever be the claims on revenues collected, an average trader as voter would play a significant role in the mandate for the BJP both in Assembly and Lok Sabha polls. One can’t ignore the sheer numbers of trading community as a vote bank and it would be interesting to watch where they tilt. Just to repeat again—traders have sizeable numbers and they can make a difference!! Finance Minister Arun Jaitely needs to watch out as only he has the answers not anybody else in the BJP.

British PM's Deepawali message a hit on Social media

Theresa Mary May PM of UK has greeted Indians on Deepawali day. In her three minutes Shubh Deepawali message she mentioned Sri Rama and other related things.

Social Media...

My nephew is a Social Media and Digital Expert. He drops in and we sit down to chat over Coffees and Diwali Mithais.

Me: So how's the Social Media (SM) World...

Nephew: Booming ....being used...... misused and abused!!

M: Misused ...abused..?????

N: Companies create hoopla that does not exist for products.... Lobbies create fictional support for issues... Political Parties misuse and abuse  blatantly ... now take Congress... its got the misconception that gaining popularity on Twitter is like winning the election!!! So by hook or crook its working on the numbers!!!!! There are Professional Arrangers.... who on payment can get thousands to follow a Twitter handle and on additional payment even get them to like posts!!!

M: But don't Modi supporters do the same...

N: No... he is popular no doubt.....has a phenomenal following... but they don't interpose it like its an electoral win.....so numbers are incidental... the objective being to get like minded People on one platform...

M:  I have been reading about a changed @officeofRG (RaGa's) twitter handle...

N: Yup... they are now resorting to humor ...good thing...

M: But with his foot in mouths I am sure in the end joke will end up at his expense...

N: But without a doubt his Twitter Handle is more interesting now.

M: So if by a miracle he takes over as President the handle will change accordingly ..

N: Keeping the young (sic) hep humor angle in mind ...could be... @PresiRaGa or @RaGaNumeroUno!!!

M: If it were left to Congis they'd add a Disclaimer in his Profile... Congress Party is in no way responsible for the Tweets!!!

N: FB had even posted a message that all on FB should be careful and verify info posted on FB...

M: Any uncensored Medium would face such a problem...but I note now BJP lot are becoming placid on SM.....

N: Percolates from the top... now BJP must be relying on first hand reactions... which is... you feel the benefits of BJP's policies first hand ... its like a product relying on Customer Satisfaction rather than advertising !!!

M: And then when BJP has Modi and the volume of work he's done ...they don't need to fib and fob...yes they use SM to inform about developments ....its constructive use... Congress's is destructive abuse!!

N: Congress needs to fib and fob because of the volume of negativity about it... be it performance... corruption...compromising Constitutional Offices... India's Foreign Policy flops...

M: I think viewing all the negativity against Congress RaGa's Twitter handle if he becomes President should be @SupermanRaGa...or @BatmanRaGa ....or @SpidermanRaGa... maybe his followers could be enthused!!! Though in actuality ......all the Super Heroes can do nothing when it comes to Congress...all the Super Heroes would not be able to put Humpty Dumpty back on the Wall again...
