Nearly, all exit polls have predicted a win for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. If this happens, Yogi Adityanath would get place in the top troika of the BJP’s national leadership.

What could have lead to BJP’s success in UP ?

By and large, all exit polls are predicting a win for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. People say, if it happens, free rations for two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, action to drive out mafia and the inherent ‘fear’ of bringing back the alleged lawlessness would have done the trick for the BJP

Does the country requires several investigative agencies to deal with economic offences ?

The buzz around is that “CDS” like post - as in Defence  - is in the offing to have a control over all the agencies dealing in economic offences. They include CBI, ED, DRI,CEI and FIU. The Modi Government  had already surprised the defence services by creating the post of “CDS”. Will it be fruitful ?
