This is History (764)

Where there is reverence there is fear, but there is not reverence everywhere that there is fear, because fear presumably has a wider extension than reverence.

Is BJP coming to power in HP ?

Political pundits predict  that heavy polling in Himachal Pradesh is an indication that BJP will win. Clear picture will emerge on December 18 when results are out.

Rahul Gandhi putting across Cong views before global community

AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s article in the Op-Ed page of Financial Times , London on first anniversary of demonetization on November 8 displays his agenda to put across his party’s views before international community. This could be the first time an Opposition leader from India is reaching out to the global community with his views on Indian economy which BJP leaders probably never did in foreign soil when they were in the Opposition during the UPA rule.

Our credibility on GST

As reported in this website  GST has been reduced on 117 items. GST council which met in Guwahati on Friday decided to cut GST on many items.

(We said this on November  8, 2017)

GST rates will come down sharply ?

-Govt has made up  its mind to cut GST rates on many items. If sources are to be believed highest tax rate likely to be 25 instead of 28 per cent. Govt likely to accept suggestions given by Congress to lower tax bracket on more than 100 items. GST Council is meeting on November 10 in Guwahati.

Survey – Who can revive the Congress ?

Congress revival hinges on Nehru Gandhi family

The Congress, run by the Nehru-Gandhis as a dynastic behemoth, is facing a leadership crisis like never before. The fears that the party may fragment without a dynastic head also cannot be discounted as only a member of Nehru Gandhi family can bring ‘Some Unity among Congress leaders’ so vital for the revival of the Congress.

Looking at the present state the Congress party is in, Whispersinthecorridors.com tried to elicit the views of its surfers on – Who can revive the Congress ? – and though different people had different opinion and gave the names of several leaders other than those from the Nehru-Gandhi family, one thing which majority of them felt was that UNITY was the first requirement for the revival of the Congress.

And since Unity among Congress leaders - which alone can turn the tables in the next elections - will be totally extinct in the absence of a ‘Gandhi’, only a member of Nehru Gandhi family can revive the Congress party.
