Who embarrassed Gujarat CM and the PM in SEBI ?

In BJP headquarters, some leaders are now asking that who is the person in the SEBI who embarrassed the PM and the Gujarat CM on the eve of the prestigious Gujarat elections.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had targeted Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani over the SEBI slapping fine on his firm for alleged manipulative share trade, and asked the prime minister to speak out on the issue.

In Congress politics clear division between the old guard and Rahul’s people is visible. Veterans are feeling uneasy and dejected.

GST Jugaad

My friend who is a Tax Expert drops in for a Coffee and over Coffee and Biscuits we get chatting.

Me: Pro Congress Media says GST is good but the multi-tax structure and the unplanned rollout was bad.

Friend: Hogwash....planning just means red tapism... the file would be moving about aimlessly... everyone trying to put the onus on someone else... had it not been rolled out now ...would have meant an indefinite delay....Modi had set a deadline ...and he met it... with the explicit understanding... we will modify as per ground realities and feedback..

M: They cry about the Procedure ...the multi rate  ..

compare with other Countries..

F: First other Nations do not have the curse of Jugaad ....so procedures had to be set in place here anticipating Jugaad.... and multi rate...well viewing the income disparities this was necessary.... and then Government has shown its prepared to modify to fine tune GST... to reduce the pain....and its done this...

M: RaGa talks of one rate 18%...

F: First every FM will protect the Tax Revenue zealously ... 18% GST..... to meet the Tax Revenues would warrant ... 0%, 5% and 12% to be raised to 18%... RaGa I am sure has no idea of what GST is ...

M: But he says he gives his team the inputs and then they raise issues in MSM and SM...

F: Load of crap... a Man who cannot even pen an Orbituary and has to rely on a Texted Orbituary Message... what ideas can he give...I'm sure when he rarely gives ideas to his Team.. they politely  listen to him... even do Wah-Wah and then do what they think has to be done..

M: Can't  the Returns be made  Quaterly...

F: No way ..... viewing our Jugaad potential ....no way... and do you know in Countries like US and Canada... GST is literally online ... a Invoice is issued and its info is available with Tax Authorities..

M: I hear in Canada GST rebate is available to individuals with Low Incomes...

F: Can and should be done here ... with due protection from Jugaad... or BPL lot would be claiming rebate for Cars and LCD TVs etc. The procedure has to convenient ...inexpensive and protect from misue...like set a limit for GST reclaim based on average purchases by a BPL family...the Shopkeeper has nothung to do with rebate... linked to Aadhar Card all info for refund will be available on the click of a button...

and the GST Collections should be such that the FM should be in a conciliatory frame of mind...

M: Hear unscrouplous Traders overcharging GST..charging GST on MRP...

F: A GST manual should be  available at every Establishment. The MRP printed on packaging should spell out... GST Included...

M: RaGa is deciphering GST as Gabbar Singh Tax...

F: Bang on... for the Tax Chors its Gabbar Singh Tax..

M: 'Kitna Tax jamaa karaaya'...'Inspector ji 0'... 'Itni sale aur tax 0... bahut na-insaafi hai....iss ka badlaa zaroor Department leh ga'....ha ha ha

We have a good laugh and I see my friend off at the door.

Survey – Who can revive the Congress ? 

Congress revival hinges on Nehru Gandhi family

The Congress, run by the Nehru-Gandhis as a dynastic behemoth, is facing a leadership crisis like never before. The fears that the party may fragment without a dynastic head also cannot be discounted as only a member of Nehru Gandhi family can bring ‘Some Unity among Congress leaders’ so vital for the revival of the Congress.

Looking at the present state the Congress party is in, Whispersinthecorridors.com tried to elicit the views of its surfers on – Who can revive the Congress ? – and though different people had different opinion and gave the names of several leaders other than those from the Nehru-Gandhi family, one thing which majority of them felt was that UNITY was the first requirement for the revival of the Congress.

And since Unity among Congress leaders - which alone can turn the tables in the next elections - will be totally extinct in the absence of a ‘Gandhi’, only a member of Nehru Gandhi family can revive the Congress party.
