Senior Congress leaders are jittery over the imminent axe which is expected to fall after taking over of Rahul Gandhi .

My friend from Lucknow is in Delhi and we meet at a Dhaba in CP and over Dal, Butter Paneer, Kadak Rotis and Raw Onions 'mukka maar ke' we get chatting.

Friend: Dekh liya.. .total wipe out of Opposition ... UP Local Bodies Elections... BJP won 14 Mayoral elections and BSP ...2..

Me: Just read a tweet.... Congress came 5th in Amethi...

F: And see the daftness of Congress.... rather than accepting the rout and promising retrospection and remedial measures accordingly ..Congress credits the momentous BJP victory to extensive campaigning by CM Yogi Adityanath...

M: Itne excuse they've had to give for losses in the past 3 1/2 years that now they've just lost the 'excuses' plot...

F: They should  use their oft used excuse ...Secret....  cause of Nehru's death Secret ...Rahul's education Secret... Sonia's illness and treatment Secret.... Rahul's religion Secret....say ...reasons for loss .. Secret!!

M: And anything about Vadras is Private...

F: The conclusions of Congress friendly Media prior to the Polls were.....Demonetisation & GST failed....People are angry....Yogi fixed EVM....Yogi hacked Ballot paper....Amit Shah played Hindutva card..Rahulji is back..Rahulji is coming of age...Modi failed test......Modi magic is over....Modi must resign....

M: Now of course they'll just shamelessly downplay the results ... say we told you EVMs fixed ... Ballot papers fixed...

F: You recall the lie RaGa peddled .... 33,000 ....36,000.... given to TATA for its Sanand Plant.  Well it was not a Grant but a loan... a loan of 500+ Crores...

M: He just did his Shoot and Scoot... if you ask him now of this misrepresentation of facts... he will give you a blank look..

F: And now he says ...Modi  gave Adani 43,000 Crore acres of Land......total area on Earth including oceans is 12,500 Cr Acres. So Modi gave Adani nearly four times the area of Mother Earth....

M: If he wants People to take him seriously he needs to stop misrepresentation of facts ....or sheer lies...

F: But its often said he says whatever is spoonfed..

M: Then Sonia is to blame because she must be coming to know what all he says...

F: Or maybe she doesn't read or view the News .....and her Cutlery is under strict instructions to talk about Fashion and the Weather..

M: Or maybe they know it all...when you can't say anything...if offence is best defence... lies and misrepresentation are the best deflectors...

F: So in the end the UP results in short...16 seats... Vikas : 14 Seats.... Dalit ki Beti :  2 Seats.....Kaam Bolta hai (hope you recall SP) : 0 Seats...Naye Farzi Hindu: 0 Seats ...Dilli ki Pangewaale: 0 Seats...

We have a good laugh...pay the Tab and move out.

What will be the political scenario in the country after 2019 general elections ?

General elections in the country are more than a year away though, political discussions regarding the scenario in 2019 Lok Sabha polls have already started with many saying that BJP be given another chance. We invite views of our surfers on the probable scenario after next LS polls – Will it be a repeat of 2014 or will the Congress reemerge or will there be a rise of some new political force (coalition minus the BJP and the Congress).
