POWERGRID’s Hindi technical book on role of HVDC systems released

Gurugram: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has brought out a technical book in Hindi titled “Akshay Urja ke Vidyut Grid Samanvayan mein HVDC Pranali ki Bhumika” (Role of HVDC Systems in Grid Integration of Renewable Energy).

The book was released by Nityanand Rai and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Ministers of State for Home Affairs, during the Hindi Diwas 2026 and the 6th Akhil Bharatiya Rajbhasha Sammelan held at Navi Mumbai. Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), POWERGRID, was also present.

The book deals with the highly technical and contemporary subject of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems and their role in the integration of renewable energy with the electricity grid. It seeks to present complex technical concepts related to HVDC technology and renewable energy grid integration in Hindi in a simple and accessible manner.

The publication is expected to serve as a useful reference for POWERGRID employees as well as students of science and engineering. It is also aimed at facilitating greater availability of technical knowledge in Hindi, particularly in specialised areas of power transmission and grid technology.

The initiative reflects POWERGRID’s efforts towards promoting the use of Rajbhasha Hindi in the fields of science, engineering and technology. Creation of technical literature in Hindi will contribute towards strengthening the use of Hindi as a language of technical and scientific knowledge and help bridge the gap between Rajbhasha and specialised technical subjects.
