PSUs Heads under increasing pressure amid spread of COVID-19

Heads of almost all the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) are bearing the brunt of increasing pressure to work and meet the objectives of their respective Ministries/Departments. According to sources, the Government is trying to bring pressure on the PSUs, which have to take the lead to handle the day to day affairs of their respective companies. Despite the COVID-19 crisis the work of the administrative ministries is going on and all the targets have to be completed in a time bound manner in less cooperation from the supporting staff. The Managements of PUSs are so compelled to exert considerable pressure on their staff members, who are potential carriers and transmitters of deadly CoronaVirus and don’t follow protocol and guidelines of the Health Ministry. The death of SAIL’s Director Personnel and SAIL’s Chairman, found positive for COVID-19, is a result of this pressure, according to sources.
