R Awasthi appointed as new DGP, Meghalaya temporarily
R Awasthi has been temporarly appointed as new Director General of Police in Meghalaya. Awasthi, who belongs to a 1985 batch IPS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, will succeed present incumbent Dr S B Singh retired on July 31, 2018.
