R K Mathur made LG of small Union Territory!

Former 1977 batch IAS officer of Tripura cadre R K Mathur  who was appointed Secretary Defence during the UPA Government  continued on the post when Narendra Modi came to power in 2014.Mathur  sincerely did his job as Secretary Defence when Arun Jaitley was the Minister. Soon after retirement he was made the Chief Information Commissioner and after expiry of term, he became the Advisor of the Tripra Government. He got a big surprise when he got the message of his appointment as LG Ladakh. Obviously his experience as Secretary Defence was taken into account. Incidentally Mathur, who is a 1977 batch IAS officer, has been appointed LG of small Union Territory Laddakh while nine batch junior 1985 batch G C Murmu will be LG of bigger UT J&K.
