R R Swain, Special DG, CID, Jammu & Kashmir, has been appointed as In-charge Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu & Kashmir with effect from November 1, 2023. He is a 1991 batch IPS officer of AGMUT cadre. (We said this on Oct 26 and in the morning of Oct 27, 2023)
