Railways has maximum cases of pension settlement

Ministry of Railways could revise 6,96,773 pension cases against 13.88 lakh such cases requiring revision. It is said that the big hurdle is that Railways are dependent upon banks for records which is not directly available to them. Deptt of Posts has around 2.6 lakh cases and out of which around 50 thousand are still pending. GoI had issued an order in May last year for revision of pension of pre- July1, 2016 retirees in course of implementation of the recommendation 7th CPC.
