Rath Organises Global Event on Corporate Governance in Public Enterprises

Dr Arun K Rath ,Chairman & Professor ,Centre of Corporate Governance & Social Responsibility, International Management Institute, Bhubaneswar organized a Four Week Global Training Program on Corporate Governance in Public Enterprises ( September 11- October 6, 2017) in the International Management Institute, New Delhi. Sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs under the India Techno Economic Cooperation initiative ,this ambitious training program was held for capacity building of public policy officials from different countries of the world on challenges and options of corporate governance in the public enterprises. As many as 28 senior policy makers and executives from 27 countries participated in the event and benefitted from the sessions in the classroom as well as the industrial and field visits .The participants came from across the world including Europe, Middle East , Africa ,Latin America ,Caribbean Islands and Asia bringing with them wide diversity of culture and practices . Dr Sumeet Jerath ( IAS 1985 Assam- Meghalay ), Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India inaugurated the event ,which ended successfully on Oct 6, 2017. Dr Arun K Rath ( IAS 1973 Jharkhand),former Secretary ,MHRD Govt of India and currently Professor of Corporate Governance, guided the month long training initiative as the Program Director. The overseas visitors were very impressed with India and keenly learnt about the best corporate governance practices of India ,so as to improve their own practices on return to their countries.
