Ratho appointed Chairman, Odisha SEIAA

Sisir Kumar Ratho, former IFoS officer, has been appointed as Chairman of Odisha State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA, Odisha) by GoI for a term of three years. Ratho superannuated as PCCF & Head of Forest Force, Odisha on 30 June 2022. He joined Forest Service in 1987 and worked in various capacities in Odisha and Centre as well as in constitutional bodies like National Commission for Scheduled Tribe and National Mission for Clean Ganga. He has wide experience of working in other cross-cutting sectors and has also co-authored a book “Agro Forestry Manual for Asia Pacific Region” published by UN Convention to Combat Desertification Secretariat, Bonn (Germany) in 2004 and published a book titled “Eternal Wisdom of the Tribes”.
