The Reserve Bank of India is not giving five year long tenures to new MD & CEOs of private banks .The RBI approved Sandeep Bakhshi’s appointment as Managing Director & CEO of the Bank for a period of three years with effect from October 15, 2018. The YES Bank MD & CEO Rana Kapoor got tenure extension only upto January 2019. Amitabh Chaudhry's appointment was approved by the RBI as the Managing Director & CEO of Axis Bank for a period of 3 years, with effect from January 1, 2019 upto December 31, 2021.
