RECPDCL handovers Lakadia B Power Transmission Ltd SPV toReliance Industries Ltd

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), awholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, the Maharatna CPSU under the aegis ofMinistry of Power, handed over project specific SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle)of ISTS Transmission Project under TBCB route viz, Lakadia B Power TransmissionLimited to Reliance Industries Limited on February 14, 2025 at Gurugram. RelianceIndustries Limited (RIL) emerged as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP)through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL,the Bid Process Coordinator, for development of the transmission project onBuild, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) basis. The SPV was handed over by TSCBosh, CEO, RECPDCL to N Vaidyanathan, Sr. Vice President, Reliance IndustriesLimited in the presence of Senior Officials of RECPDCL, Reliance IndustriesLimited and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited. The implementationperiod of the project is 24 months. The scheme covers augmentation oftransformation capacity at Lakadia Pooling Station in Gujarat State forevacuation of Power from RE Power Generators. The estimated cost of the projectis around Rs. 512.58 Crore.
