The Railway Ministry reported that between 2014 and 2025, Indian Railways recruited 5.08 lakh personnel, an increase from 4.11 lakh between 2004 and 2014. This includes promotions and upgrades across Group A, B, C, and D posts, facilitated by systemic changes like an annual recruitment calendar and digitised testing.
