Reshuffle of IPS officers in Odisha

A number of officers belonging to Indian Police Service (IPS) have been transferred and posted to different places in Odisha. Accordingly, B K Sharma has been appointed as DG, Fire Services and Home Guards while Santosh Kumar Upadhaya will now be ADG, Crime Branch and Debasis Panigrahi is Vigilance Director. Similarly,   Binyanand Jha has been appointed as ADG Prisons and Correctional Services; Satyajit Mohanty as ADG, Provisioning; Arun Kumar Ray as ADG Communication; Pranabindu Acharya as ADG railway and Coastal Security; Santosh Bala as Special Secretary, Home; Lalit Das as CMD of Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation Ltd; Arun Bothra as IG, Modernisation; Asheet Kumar Panigrahi as IG, Headquarters and Amitabh Thakur has been made new IG, Law and Order.
