Reshuffle of IPS officers in Punjab

As many as 19 IPS officers have been given assignments in Punjab. Accordingly, V K Bhawra has been appointed as DGP, Home Guards Director Civil Defence Chandigarh, while Varinder Kumar was made ADGP/intelligence and Gurpreet Kaur Deo is ADGP, Community Affairs. Similarly, S K Asthana has been appointed as ADGP, Human Rights; Shashi Prabha Dwivedi as ADGP, Lokpal with Punjab Police Election Cell; Dr Naresh Kumar as ADGP, Crime PBI SCRB; Ram Singh as ADGP Modernization; S S Srivastava as ADGP Security Punjab with NRI Affairs; Parveen Kumar Sinha as ADGP, Prisons; B Chandra Sekhar as ADGP Crime Punjab with additional charge of ADGP, IVC; A S Rai as ADGP, HRD; V Neeraja as ADGP, Welfare; Anita Punj as ADGP-cum-Director MRS PPA, Phillaur; Vibhu Raj as IGP Modernizatoin with addtional charge of Security; Gurinder Singh Dhillon as IGP Crime with SCRB; M S Chhina as IGP Human Rights with additional charge of Crime; Mohnish Chawla as IGP, IRB with Excise & Taxation; S K Singh as IGP Crime including Crime Against Women and Hardial Singh Mann was posted as DIG, Ferozepur range.
