Reshuffle of IPS officers in Tamil Nadu

As many as nine IPS officers have been transferred and posted to different places in Tamil Nadu. Accordingly, Md Shakeel Akhter has been appointed as DG, Crime Branch CID, Chennai, while P Kandaswamy was made DG, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Chennai and Dr M Ravi is ADG, Administration, Chennai. Similarly, C Eswaramoorthy has been appointed as IG, Intelligence Internal Security; Mrs N Z Asiammal as DIG, Intelligence; P Aravindhan as SP, Special Branch CID; S Saravanan as SP-II, Organised Crime Intelligence Unit, Chennai; R Thirunavukkarasu as SP, Security Branch CID-I, Chennai and P Saminathan was made SP, Security Branch CID-II, Chennai.
