Reshuffle of senior IAS officers in Jharkhand on the cards

The transfers and postings of Secretary level officers in Jharkhand are expected to take place soon. Accordingly, LB Khyangate, who was replaced as Chief Election Officer, is waiting for posting. Similarly, posting of Principal Secretary rank officer Shailesh Kumar Singh has not been done. Both officers are still awaiting posting. Shailesh Kumar Singh was made the Chief Electoral Officer, but the Election Commission ordered his removal from the post of CEO as his wife was a political leader. He has been waiting for posting since then. The appointment of IT Secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey as Chief Election Officer on August 2, this department has also become devoid of a Secretary. On 31 July, the Divisional Commissioner of South Chotanagpur Division, Shubhra Verma, and Ramesh Kumar Dubey, Special Secretary, Water Resources Department retired. As a result, this post of Divisional Commissioner, South Chotanagpur and Special Secretary Water Resources Department has become vacant.
