Retirements in High Courts, Supreme Courts

Justice Rajesh Bindal retired on April 15, 2026 (parent High Court: Punjab & Haryana). CJI Surya Kant praised his adjudicatory and institutional contributions, noting a high case disposal rate. This is part of five SC retirements in 2026: Bindal (Apr 15), Pankaj Mithal (Jun 16), Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari (Jun 28), Sanjay Karol (Aug 22), and Satish Chandra Sharma (Nov 29).
