Rs 6.47 cr ecotourism bravo-Coracle rides worth every spin: I Anwardeen, PCCF (R&E), Chennai Brainchild of I Anwardeen, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Research & Education), Chennai, the Baralikkadu Eco-tourism project in Coimbatore Forest Division, Tamil Nadu, in participation with tribals from 21 local settlements, have so far, generated a whopping Rs 6.47 crore.

While sharing the project details with WITC, the 1994 batch IFS officer speaks of Baralikkadu Eco-tourism project that is beneficially harvested by forest managers and tribal communities and broadly and successfully defines ecotourism as tourism and is ecologically sustainable.
