RTI Act -2019 Notified

The much awaited RTI Act-2019 has been Notified by the GoI w.e.f. October 24, 2019. According to Notification, the CIC and Info Commissioner (IC) shall hold the office for a period of three years. CIC pay will be 2.5 lakh while IC gets 2.25 lakh per month. If CIC and IC are in receipt of any pension at the time of appointment, the pay of such CIC/IC shall be reduce by the amount of that pension including any portion of pension which was commuted and pension equivalent of other form of retirement benefit.
