Sanjay Bandopadhyaya, IAS, 1988 batch to return to parent cadre MP after seven years of well appreciated and dedicated services to Government of India. He has held some important divisions as Joint Secretary, MORTH dealing with formulation and implementation of policies related to road construction, toll, PPP, road safety, vehicle specifications, digitalization of driver & vehicle registration, national permit system etc. His work earned him the GoI, " Platinum Icon Web Ratna Award 2012" for implementing the 'Vahan' vehicle registration and permit system for the best citizen centric service by the Government of India. Later on as CEO, National Automotive Testing & R&D Infrastructure Society he completed crash test, emission control and other infrastructure in six centres under DHI. The recent on May 18, 2017 at GARC Chennai. He helped the GoMP to get back more than 1000 acres of GoI land at NATRAX Pithampur for industrial development and got important test of tracks completed at that centre.
