Secretary, Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance has been appointed as Chairman of the Steering Committee on Fintech related issues including development of Fintech space in India with a view to make Fintech related regulations more flexible and generate enhanced entrepreneurship in an area where India has distinctive comparative strengths vis-à-vis other emerging economies. Other seven Members of the Committee are: Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Secretary, Financial Services, Secretary, MSME, Chairperson, CBEC, CEO, UIDAI, Dy Governor, RBI and JS, Investment, DEA.
