Secretary (MEA) inaugurates Master Craftsman Exhibition

M. K. Pardeshi, IFS, Secretary (CPV & O IA) Ministry of External Affairs, in the presence of Manoj Lal, Managing Director, The Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Ltd on 31st May 2024 inaugurated an Exclusive Exhibition cum Live Demo by Master Craftspersons from the Handicraft & Handloom sector and motivated them to Exports. The Live demonstrations gave a panoramic view of various crafts such as Blue Pottery, Stone Dust paintings, Madhubani Art, block printing Phulkari, etc to the foreign delegates enabling them a firsthand experience of the multifarious craft traditions of India. The Diplomats showed great enthusiasm and admiration in the intricate craftsmanship & artistic excellence of the products on Display.

Speaking on the occasion Manoj Lal, Managing Director, the Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Ltd, stated that India has a Golden Cultural Heritage& Cottage represents the Cultural ethos of India. Handicraft & Handloom are artistic symbols of diverse Traditions, Folk lores, & lifestyles of ethnic India, which has been preserved and promoted from times immemorial adding beautiful dimensions to human life. The Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Ltd organised this program in association with Ministry of External Affairs for encouraging growth of Indian Cottage industries as also fostering mutual understanding & respect of different cultures between the Nations, he added.
