Sengupta assumes charge of Fire and Fury Corps

Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta took over as the General Officer Commanding of Ladakh-based Fire and Fury Corps, succeeding Lieutenant General P G K Menon. Before taking charge of the current assignment, he was posted in the Army Headquarters at New Delhi as Director General, Strategic Planning. Sengupta has previously led Victor Force in Kashmir, Infantry Regiment in plains, Infantry Brigade in Kashmir as well as an Infantry Brigade in UN Mission.
