Senior IAS officers in Gujarat shifted in major administrative reshuffle

The Gujarat government transferred many senior IAS officers in a major administrative rejig. Mukesh Puri has been appointed as ACS, Home Department with additional charge of MD, Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd., while Sanjay Nandan was shifted as DG, Mahatma Gandhi Labour Institute, Ahmedabad and A K Rakesh takes over as ACS, Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation. Similarly, Kamal Dayani, ACS, Revenue, will hold an additional charge as ACS, GAD; Arunkumar M Solanki was posted as MD, Gujarat State Warehousing Corporation Ltd.; S J Haider was appointed as ACS, Industries and Mines Department; Mukesh Kumar, as Principal Secretary, Education (Higher & Technical Education); Ramesh Chand Meena as PS, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs; Mohammad Shahid as DG, Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration, Ahmedabad with additional charge of PS, GAD; Sanjeev Kumar as PS, Forest and Environment with additional charges of PS, Climate Change and PS, Urban Development and Urban Housing; Milind Torawane is transferred as Managing Director, Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd.; Roopwant Singh as Managing Director, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC); Rahul Bhulabhai Gupta as Vice Chairman and MD, Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation; Manisha Chandra, Secretary Finance, will hold additional charge of Commissioner, Rural development and  Secretary, Rural Development, Panchayats & Rural Housing; Banchha Nidhi Pani as Commissioner, Technical Education; Harshadakumar Ratilal as Commissioner, Youth Services & Cultural Activities and Alok Kumar Pandey takes charge as Commissioner, Relief and Ex-officio Secretary,  Revenue Department.
