Seven IAS officers have been reshuffled and entrusted with new responsibilities in Punjab. Manjit Singh Brar, currently posted as Administrative Secretary, Local Government, has been appointed as Secretary, Medical Education and Research, replacing Ghanshyam Thori who will join as Administrative Secretary, Local Government. Similarly, Kulwant Singh has been shifted as Director, Higher Education; Harshinder Pal Singh Brar as Director, Local Government, Punjab; Sakshi Sawhney takes charge as Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Punjab and will also continue to hold the additional charge of Chief Administrator, PUDA; Jaspreet Singh, Director Industries & Commerce, will also handle additional responsibility of Managing Director, Punjab Information and Communication Technology Corporation (Punjab INFOTECH) and Rubinderjit Singh Brar is now Managing Director, Punjab Small Industries Export Corporation and MD, Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation (PSIDC).
